Trying Doraemon Fuwachoco Monaka! Too Cute to Eat!
Hello! Today, I’ll be reviewing the Doraemon Fuwachoco Monaka, an adorable and delicious treat that Doraemon fans are sure to love.

Is Doraemon Known Around the World?
Have people in your country or region heard of Doraemon? In Japan, Doraemon is a national treasure, loved by people of all ages, from children to adults.
My Memories with Doraemon
Doraemon’s creator, Fujiko F. Fujio, was born in Toyama Prefecture, where I’m also from! Because of this connection, I’ve felt a special bond with Doraemon since I was a child. I’ve visited the Fujiko F. Fujio Furusato Gallery in Takaoka City, Toyama, several times, as well as the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum in Kawasaki City.
Both places beautifully capture Doraemon’s world, offering exhibits of original artwork, recreations of iconic gadgets, and activities that are fun for visitors of all ages.

First Impressions: The Adorable Monaka Design
Now, let’s talk about the treat itself! When you open the package, you’re greeted by a Monaka (wafer) shaped like Doraemon’s face. There’s even a special “Mega Heart” version that you might find if you’re lucky! This time, I got the standard Doraemon design.

Warning: Cuteness Overload! It was so cute that I couldn’t bring myself to eat it right away. When I finally bit into it and left half of Doraemon’s face, I felt a bit guilty. It’s like he was saying, “Don’t eat me!” 😅

The Secret of the Taste: A Three-Layer Chocolate Delight
Inside, you’ll find white chocolate and milk chocolate in a fluffy mousse form, sandwiched within the crispy Monaka. The milk chocolate layer is more prominent, and the flavor reminded me of the Puku Puku Tai Choco I reviewed previously. Upon closer investigation, I discovered they’re both made by the same manufacturer, Meito. That explains the similar smooth and rich taste!

Final Thoughts: Adorable and Delicious, but Too Cute to Eat!
For Doraemon fans, this treat is irresistible. The taste is delightful, but the adorable appearance really steals the show! It’s perfect as a gift or a little indulgence for yourself.
Next time, I’m thinking of writing a comparison between the Puku Puku Tai Choco and this Monaka. If you get a chance, I highly recommend trying the Doraemon Fuwachoco Monaka!
Doraemon and Me
Doraemon isn’t just a character on a treat for me—it’s a part of my childhood and my identity. Having grown up with Doraemon, it feels special to share my love for him through this blog.
